Brush your Financial Teeth

Brush your Financial Teeth

Is just brushing your teeth enough?

That may sound like a weird question coming from a numbers nerd but just go with me for a second.

Most adults know how to brush their teeth, and they do a decent job at it.

But just because we’re decent at it doesn’t mean that we don’t need a professional cleaning every so often. When you visit your dental hygienist they use a combination of fancy tools and specialized knowledge to get your teeth sparkling clean.

Not only that, they know exactly where and how to look for cavities and minor problems that could get serious without treatment. And if you’ll allow it, I’d like to argue that bookkeeping is similar.

I know you’re smart with your money, and maybe you’re not quite ready to hire someone to clean your teeth full time (okay, so maybe the analogy is breaking down a bit here) but you know the value of a professional.

You’re doing the day-to-day upkeep, recording and categorizing your transactions and checking out your financials each month. Essentially you’re keeping up with brushing your teeth. When it comes to the bookkeeping for your business are you letting a pro get in there and do a little professional cleaning?

Just like the joy of running your tongue across your professionally cleaned teeth you can have the joy and confidence in your bookkeeping that only comes from a professional review.

One of my favorite packages is my quarterly bookkeeping professional review. I love reviewing my clients' books each quarter, making sure they’ve categorized all their transactions correctly and giving insight into their financial numbers.

I love hearing about how relieved they are to have someone to support them, answer their questions and put them at ease.

In the words of one of my favorite clients: “I feel SO MUCH BETTER about my books now :)”

If you’d like someone to be the dental hygienist for your books, the detailer to your financials, the professional pimple popper to your records (well okay, maybe we stop there) then go here to learn more about my bookkeeping quarterly review package.

Head into the next quarter with the cleanest, most minty fresh books you’ve ever had.

I promise, you’re not the worst I’ve seen
